Your family should always come first

Most people, especially those that are parents try as hard as they can to put their family, especially their children, ahead of any other considerations. In our modern chaotic society, it’s not always that easy. Many heads of a household have jobs that are increasingly complex and time-consuming. They may even occupy a senior executive position, which could involve a lot of travelling, sometimes to countries far away, keeping them away from home for a week or two at a time.

The children obviously suffer from the absence of their parent, and the parent themselves may feel guilty about having to make the difficult decision between career and family. But sometimes, sacrifices have to be made. In the long run, the family will probably benefit from the sacrifices that the head of the household makes in order that everyone has some financial security and stability.

But it’s not all about money. Part of it is also about health and longevity, and the ability to stay free of diseases, and even avoid accidents. But it’s not always easy, and sometimes terrible things happen to very good people.
